Here’s the scoop: A new law (H.R. 5371) just redefined what counts as legal hemp at the federal level. And while it might sound boring on paper, it’s a game-changer: especially if you love products like THCA flower, Delta 8, Delta 9, THC-P, and others.

The Quick & Dirty on 2026 Hemp Law Changes

🧪 THCA Now Counts as THC
That 0.3% THC limit? It just got stricter. The law now includes THCA—the non-psychoactive compound that turns into THC when heated.

📦 New THC Cap per Product
Any hemp product can now only contain 0.4 mg of total THC per container. That includes Delta-8, Delta-10, and other compounds with similar effects.

🧬 Lab-Created Cannabinoids Are Banned
If a cannabinoid didn’t come straight from the plant (like Delta-8 which is usually converted from CBD), it’s no longer considered legal hemp under this new rule.

📆 One-Year Grace Period
The good news? These changes don’t fully kick in until November 12, 2026—giving us time to adapt.
